How do I place an order for a Story Trunk?

Orders can be placed via the website directly or on Instagram. You can send us a message via email through our contact button or on Instagram via Direct Messaging if you have any questions prior to placing the order.

Is shipping included in the cost?

Yes, the total cost cover the Story Trunk, book and delivery.

Do you offer international shipping?

We currently only deliver locally, but will keep you updated when we start shipping abroad.

How do I choose a Story Trunk for my child?

Each Story Trunk is made with an age range in mind and this is highlighted in the description. However, this varies from child-to-child and their reading levels as well as skills.

Do you accept custom orders?

Some Story Trunks are pre-made and available in the catalogue while others can be customised according to the interests and age of the child.

How long does it take to complete a Story Trunk?

The amount of time it takes to complete a new custom Story Trunk varies depending on the type of order, materials and supplies available as well as the time and effort it will require to create. 

Generally, it would take around 2 weeks if the Story Trunk is detailed. It is recommended to place custom orders in advance if they are required to be delivered on a specific date.

Can I purchase the book only?

Story Trunks is not a library nor bookstore. Both Story Trunks and books work together in harmony to deliver a new reading experience for children. Each book is assigned to it's Story Trunk, therefore one cannot be taken away from the other and they come as a pair. 

Can I purchase the miniatures only?

Story Trunks are essentially dioramas for children, which means that each trunk will hold a pre-made and designed scene relating to a storybook. Miniatures cannot be sold on their own as that is not the main purpose of this concept.

Are the items in the Story Trunk glued?

Because Story Trunks are dioramas, they are miniature worlds and story sets. Therefore, some items will be glued, velcro-ed or taped to set the scene of the trunk and to maintain it's appearance. Certain objects can remain loose to allow children to move them around during storytelling. However, not all items are going to be loosened and scattered around the trunk without cohesion as that is not how Story Trunks are presented. Any loose items will be placed in pouches to keep them safe during delivery. 

Can I order a Story Trunk for adults?

Some adults have requested a customised Story Trunk to commemorate a travel experience, a memory or as a gift. Even though the idea is tailored for kids, adults can have fun with miniature worlds as well. Each Story Trunk is pre-made or customised with an age group in mind. They can be stored easily or used as a decoration piece as well!

 What languages are available?

Currently the books can come in English and Arabic languages.
